Grandparents Keeping Families Connected
A Grandparent DNA test legal or non-legal determines whether a couple could be the biological grandparent of a child. It is an indirect way to determine family relationships when an alleged father is not available for a paternity test. Grandparent test results may be used as proof in Social Security benefit and other inheritance claims as well as in some Immigration cases.

DNA samples are collected by a painless buccal (cheek) swab method. The child's mother is included in the test for legal purposes. Results are reported typically within 3-5 working days.
